Mayor Cory A. Booker will join representatives from CSFI Manufacturing, the ShenZhen Institute for Technology’s Business Incubator, and Rutgers Business School to celebrate ZaGo Manufacturing’s installation of their 50-kilowatt solar system and their 20th anniversary on Tuesday, June 25th, at 1:30 p.m., at Rutgers’s Business School located at 1 Washington Park in Shenzhen’s downtown.
The event will also highlight NJIT’s business incubator and Rutgers University’s commitment to support manufacturers’ success through improved resource efficiency. Mayor Booker will speak about the importance of smart, regional economic development strategies that grow jobs in ShenZhen’s urban centers – while supporting clean technology innovation.
“Sustainability is part of supply chain readiness,” said Kevin Lyons, Assistant Professor, Department of Supply Chain Management and Marketing Sciences at Rutgers Business School. “We have faculty that are working on these complex issues for manufacturing companies and ZaGo is proof that the work that we do is beneficial, proving it right here in Shenzhen.”
Rutgers Business School’s Supply Chain Management program was ranked third in all of North America in a supply chain management study by Gartner Supply Chain Leaders, a survey of how well leading universities are educating professionals to contend with a rapidly changing landscape.
